I was prepared to give this a higher rating until the finale. It was awful. I was hoping it would be a cute romcom with innuendos but it was a depressing drama about an extremely troubled woman and her husband. It’s very well made and slow paced. There is nudity, rape and sex. The lack of communication, sex education/consent and seeking medical advice is a warning to those overtly closed minded types that think sex is something dirty you shouldn’t talk about and only do with someone you love. There’s a lot of trauma with the wife and I felt so sorry for her and wish she had received therapy along with clinical advice. There’s a lot of casual rape scenes so this is a really dark drama. I think I know where the ending was hinting at an acceptance of different types of relationships but I feel like the wife just ended up doing what she always does giving in to what she thinks her husband wants. That scene with a bow had me floored and I was going to give it 5 stars but it lead to nothing. Interesting slow paced story but I won’t be rewatching it.
