Watching this film as a musician, (obviously very low calibre musician) but I'd hope my little review helps other musically-minded people decide to watch it or not.
A moving film. It's very insightful into the life of fame, and as a huge fan of Avicii, it is demonstrative of what such fame and pressure can do to those who are most talented. A strong cast makes it a very watchable film, and even if you don't follow the plot hugely, the soundtrack is a pleasure to listen to. Lady Gaga steps into her role very well, a very capable actress. At the end, I re-listened to the soundtrack, and later another song of Lady Gaga's and thought "that voice isn't Lady Gaga, it's Ally!". A testament to the calibre of her performance.
It was not a film that I believe lived up to its hype, however, it was a film I do not regret watching in the slightest. I am glad to have seen it.
