I was very disappointed in the movie. If you're going to do a Great woman like Harriet Tubman & capture the feel of her & that era, you can't play patty cake with it....you've got to bring it! Harriet Tubman was very spiritual & said GOD told her which way to go, that was down played & was said to be hallucinations from her head injury, but her not getting caught validated it was from GOD! The viciousness of slavery was not portrayed in the movie, but a Black man killing a Black woman was. The spirit of Harriet Tubman was not captured by the actress in this movie.There were fictitious characters as well as misinformation in the movie so for those that don't know a lot about her & that time, they'd think that it was all true. I had high expectations because I've studied the person of Harriet Tubman & the flavor of that day, so I went in knowing & informed so when I watched it, I watched it from a place of understanding, love & admiration for a woman that revolutionized the world. This movie did not do her justice & it was a huge let down for me😕.

It was powerful with pieces of wisdom & revelation weaved into the fabric of life's complexities. It spoke to purpose;I cried, smiled, and was inspired by this movie that presented a variety of truths based on different perspectives.
