This is what happens when somebody thinks they know something about Mexican Americans. It’s like what happens when somebody tries to make what they think Mexican food is in the Mid West. Just don’t. And they make it seem like Santa Muerte is such a huge part of Mexican Catholics’ faith. I just barely heard about this and I’m Catholic of Mexican descent! Santa Muerte might be a big deal with Mexican cartels, but this is nothing mainstream. And the acting...just horrible. Natalie Dormer just gives a very uninspired performance. The character, Tiago (Daniel Zovatto) seemed like he was trying to “act Mexican”. He’s Costa Rican. No wonder. I wish there was something nice I could say about this train wreck of a show. God, I miss the first Penny Dreadful.
