It is hard to see anyone but Robin Williams in the role of the genie, but Will Smith does a pretty good job; a little updated humor but enough lines from the original to tie them together. The kids enjoyed it and it was slow enough they could follow the story. The original was awesome but was much faster with Williams rapid fire delivery. Smith infuses his own personality into the role and it works. The leads were strong and well cast. The additional songs, especially "Speechless", was a nice touch. Still miss Williams though...
