I really enjoyed season one as it felt ground breaking and fresh. Jodie Comer plays an absolutely fantastic and captivating Villanelle. However, as season two progressed, I found myself hoping that somebody would actually kill Eve. More and more I disliked the character played by Sandra Oh who for me becomes more and more random and irrelevant as the story progresses. Then at the end of season two, Eve got shot after we all realised she was also a time waster in her relationship with Villanelle. Yes she's dead! But NO! Somehow she made it into season three which I am now struggling through as Eve is getting ever more irritating and irrelevant, chopping chicken in a Chinese restaurant when I last saw her. I never really did see why the show was named after her and then discovered the story was based on Luke Jennings "Codename Villanelle". YES! That makes much more sense that Villanelle IS the central character. So firstly I blame the BBC for renaming it and secondly would the story writers please KILL EVE (permanently please).
