I just finished reading this book for July/August 2020. I confess I have had it in my library for 30 years. I said I was going to get to it..like so many other books. I wish now I would have gotten to it sooner. It is a peak at life in the Church prior to the turn of the millennium. It is a collection of short stories much like one would find in a monthly church newsletter from a pastor. The stories are not out of date. Many stories could easily be used as sermon illustrations in 2020 by preachers. Also, it would function as a daily or weekly devotional much like "The Upper Room."
