I'm going to be honest. The show, while it has made some mistakes, is watchable, and still hold my interest. If you are a casual viewer, you may find it difficult. You don't have to know the backstory, but the show is not filling in the details for new viewers. The companions are ... difficult to describe. It's a challenge when you have to right for one companion. When you have three, the writing is almost non-existent. I know when you have that many people to write for it's difficult, but should to see what makes them stick together. Also, you play up their skills. I mean, you have a police officer. She should be showing some detective skills. Overall, the show has has improve from Series 11, with them bringing back old Gillian's. But I want the Doctor to be the most interesting person in the room. I want Jodie Whittaker to show a range of emotion: anger, strength, loss, and hope. I know she can do it. Hopefully, we'll see it next season.
