this game is bad and unnecessarily complicated problems include no autocombos encouraging new players to spam attacks over and over and/or mash random buttons mindlessly making the game unfriendly to beginners having 3 quarters of the roster locked behind a paywall immediately putting people with money specifically older players at a advantage having more options and having characters that both counter the starting roster and leaving the ftp/nwmog (not wasting money on game) players with no answer it's also stupid the stun system is annoying and broken and characters do way to much damage which is a problem if your fighting format is 1v1 3 round default most games have 3v3 which is good as you can change you character to counter or make a comeback example "oh you choose a grappler? well unlucky for you i chose a zoner free win for me" or "a zoner huh? heh that means I've already won since my characters a rushdown" it's unfair and pay to win and it doesn't get off the hook just because it was released before dbfz came along and raised the fighting game standard because UPDATES also the graphics are ugly and look weird i like the manga style cutscenes but the game graphics are bad at least not as bad as jump force it's also stupid expensive 15 dollars for a stage a f**cking STAGE! and that's already on top of the 40+ bucks just to play the damm thing there are many more things to bash but im done and am running out of words the only reason i gave this game my attention was because it was free on PS+ final score go play dbfz or mk or grand fantasy vs or injustice 2 or hell even super smash bros and that's barely a fighting game.

it's good it's the gen one games with more characters more balanced teams way better graphics and sound a new female playable character that gamefreak unfortunately forgot she exists completely it's defiantly better than the original having the same base as rs it's a graphical powerhouse even today the original is broken and outdated this is better than let's go and it removes a lot of problems from the original like the immortal psychic type messages being incorrect broken attacks stupid AI that can't tell the difference of damaging moves and status moves and stuff like like the barrier dragonite and toxic gengar against grass poison types some teams are still stupid but that's the og's fault like just make Lance the sky master and replace his other dragonites with flying types and make Agatha the poison lady instead of the ghost girl and give her poison types instead of 3 pokemon from the gengar line don't make a dragon boi with one dragon type and don't make a ghost gorl with 1 ghost

this is my first and favorite pokemon game most of my favorite pokemon come from this game and this is the game I played the most it's fun and interesting and the best looking game by far sure you have sword and shield but if it's no graphic problems it's gameplay problems I played this game to death and it's still awesome and this is a great game that the others just can't stack up to also feels like I'm the only dude that got sapphire and like why is ruby always always in front of sapphire but back to the review I feel this game is better because the old games had way to many problems and the new ones feel incomplete and empty not that they are bad just that this ones better this is the game that introduced a lot of new people to pokemon and this is the game most pokemon mega fans grew up playing I think that this game is the one that really made pokemon what it is and I expected good things from the remake which it delivered I was expecting them to change everything or screw up the story with retcons everywhere but I was pleasantly surprised when AS was able to stay true to it's roots and add new things without ruining it's source material.
