I don’t even know what to say about this beautiful book. It brought so much light to this topic about the trafficking of these young girls, while at the same time making you regret so deeply for their situation. And also the ability this writer had to build the relationships between these characters in a way that made your heart break when they would come to an end. This writer was able to feel the same way Lakshmi was feeling. And on top of that it ended in such a wonderfully beautiful and artistic way that I just have the most full and relieving feeling in my chest. I honestly have brought no justice to the trueness of this novel by all the words I have written here.
