This movie was telling a story that needs to be told ..but as I see they were trying to paint a picture of a love story and go back and forth in time , it was very long drawn out boring dark gloomy and sad. The best scenes were the few that had Regina King in them. I was also not happy with the ending. The movie left us all guessing if Fonnie ever really got out of prison and what his deal entailed. ..very disappointed ..I am really trying to understand the critics reviews ..I am lost. Because the movie fell flat for me and everyone that was in the theater ..we talked about it afterwards..I was trying not to fall asleep while others were heard zzzzzzz

I just watched an episode of this after not seeing it in a long time and it was phenomenal as usual. They worked to get a guy accused of Killing a couple by arson from getting executed. They worked down to the final hour when he was actually in the room waiting to be taken to be put to death and their efforts got him a retrial and saved his life.
