Life is hard in Frostpunk. Your people will succumb to the unforgiving cold quite often. Everytime you lose in this game you will think of a way you could have done better. Which is part of it's appeal. Not many times do I play a game and think you know what they have tweaked and tweaked and got the balance right, but this game I can say have knocked it out of the park. This game is an enjoyable hard,strategy,survival, resource management type of game. Beautifully animated with some great concepts that gets the player to really economise in order to survive. Even the GUI is beautifully crafted and the game has a haunting soundtrack. I played this on the Xbox series X and PC. Being old school i can say I preferred the PC version. Well worth a purchase. One of the best strategy games I have played in 2020 I give this a good 96 out of 100 well worth the money for experience and replay value.

Bugs aside, and trust me there are a few as of December 2020 depending on what platform your playing on. After around 40 hours of play I can say with confidence I think this is one of the best games I have played. I have some gripes around the size of the text when doing inventory management and how some of the random characters you bump into, their mouths don't move when talking to you. Apart from that, I think this is a deep engaging well thought out experience worthy of some forgiveness for being a little broke at launch. Yes some stuff doesn't work and yes you will be affected differently depending on what you're playing it on yes yes I get it. All that aside I can see how great this game will be once fully patched, and I can already see how much love has been put into crafting what I consider to be a bit of a masterpiece. If you're on the fence on whether to get this maybe wait till later in Jan 2021 to buy once more bugs fixes are released. I can certainly say it only has a few bugs that may affect you on the Xbox Series x I'd give it about 88 out of 100 but would be higher once patched fully.
