This is one of the best lifestyle books I’ve ever read! I would recommend it 1000%. Especially now, when most people cannot work out at a gym or have sessions with a personal trainer, you can bring this book into your home and be taken step-by-step through a magnificent health makeover. Carrie’s way of expressing herself is very down to earth and encouraging. Carrie and her trainer and nutritionist have done a phenomenal job with this book. There are recipes if you want to take the time for that, but there are also just quick ideas (stir fry, sandwich, smoothie) to get you in a healthy mindset quickly and tell you what you need to do in just a few words. There is a section on specific exercises, and ways to make them easier or harder, as well as explaining what to do for endurance or strength or shaping. I was so pleased with how thoroughly this book covered all aspects of exercise and diet. Particularly impressive is that Carrie is not the whole focus of the book, but there is information from her trainer and her nutritionist. I felt that added to the credibility of the book. My daughter told me about an online program that has essentially the same information but costs hundreds and hundreds of dollars. You can get the same information from Carrie’s book for much less. Oh and she also covers “macros” — which I have found to be the most critical part of me losing weight. Carrie, I am sure this book was a very intense labor of love, and I sincerely and deeply appreciate the time and effort and knowledge and skill that you and your friends put into it. Also, the photographs are exquisite. I think this book is without flaw – – it is perfect in every way and you could not have done anything to make it better!
