OG fan of Winx club. I love the fact that the adaptation is nothing like the animated show. It changes it to a more grown-up aesthetic then the childish happy-go-lucky they always have to win at the end of each episode mood. Also Blooms backstory and how she reacted gave it a real life aspect to it, how she got upset and wanted to find her identity not just genealogy. I’m for the changling ideology not just the adoption one. Musa being an empath and not the fairy of music was kinda cool as well, made it more tangible. As for people talking about white washing, the only one I can assume is Musa because she might be Asian in the animated version but that can be a stretch cause she could also be white with dark hair which they achieved in the adaptation. Flora was the tan Latin-x one in the animated show and she was not in this adaptation. Overall I think they did a good job building a new storyline. At times I thought it was a tad bit slow but I think that was because they added and had to explain other beings not just faeries/fae.
