I am probably one of the biggest fans of these books... and to be honest, I didn’t have the highest expectations for this movie because I knew I would always love the books more. Now, the movie does follow the basic backstory of what the book represents, but there were a lot of specific scenes that are clearly not represented. However, I absolutely LOVED the movie... it still had an amazing story to it and I could tell that this could have easily been the actual plot of the book. It portrayed Patrick Ness’ storyline and craftmanship so well and I just cannot stop obsessing over it. I will definitely watch it at least a second time... and who knows maybe there will even be a sequel (the movie sets it up so well)!
