Ralda Ansons

I have followed this series with such pleasure. It is such a wonderful cast, experienced, nuanced performers. The quartet who make up the intriguing, complex interactions between them is of the best of England's stage and screen actors. The last episode of the most recent entangled relationships ending in Ann Reid and Derek Jacobi dancing to Time After Time brought both joy and tears at the same time. Great as the actors were, it is the scriptwriter who has gifted them with a beautifully balanced tragi-comedy of life and the director's love of that script and respect for the cast who will interpret it that ensures Last Tango in Halifax will live on in the hearts and minds of viewers.
