I really enjoyed this book. The structure was interesting, took a bit to get used to it.
As with all wars I suppose, we know little abt. what it was really like until after, when people actually involved begin to tell their stories of their involvement. I lived during WWII, only remember hearing that the French Resistance was a big force, thwarting the Germans in every way they could, even while occupied by German forces.. I have read many, many books abt. that war, this is among the best.
