I came in not expecting the same show. At the very least I wanted it to capture the same tone. That didn't happen. I think there was too much focus on the syndicate side of things. Instead of being a rag tag group getting bounties in space half the episodes run time feel like they are dedicated twords the syndicate. I didn't expect a one for one adaptation. I thing that John Cho plays a good Spike. Mustafa Shakur is hands down the best live action Jet we could get. Overall it's shot well and everyone is clearly trying to make something good. It just can't help but be compared to what it was adapted from. You can't recreate lightning in a bottle exactly. Overall, you'll get more out of this if you have not seen the original.
