In a word, beautiful. Very different to what I watch usually and I’m not sure how similar this is to anything else anyway, hence it’s greatness. I simply adore Joel and Brad their characters are wonderful and beautifully acted. The show is like a hug.

Quite a poignant film. I felt it was definitely worth leaving a review. I did enjoy watching the film but I feel the word enjoy maybe not the best word as it can be a hard watch at times. It’s quite raw and frequently sad. For those who have any close experience with adoption or even someone close to them it’s quite a difficult watch at times. Ji-Min Park was excellent as Freddie and you could almost feel her character maturing in the film. Also absolutely great performances by the aunt, her father and her friend. Definitely worth a watch !!!!

What an over-rated and over-hyped show. Unless there is some media/industry-led drive to rave about how great this drama is to try and get the masses to actually think it’s great it is just an average tv show. A very average tv show. It’s not glossy, it’s not fun, it’s definitely not riveting, it’s not deep, its characters do not seem real. It’s watchable but that’s as far as it goes. This is a Morrisons tv drama, not Waitrose.

Not too sure about this film. I see what they were tying to do and I was quite intrigued to watch it but I felt it was a bit silly most of the way through and I kept thinking I would get past that and the story would deepen and evolve but then it was finished. A kind of good concept but lacking depth in its execution.

In some lists of the greatest tv shows of all time this is number 1 - and I’m not going to argue with that. The Sopranos, Better Call Saul, Ray Donovan and Gomorrah all are character studies and about people and life with crime being used as the storyline but essentially these shows are about human behaviours, psychology and emotions. The Sopranos does this outstandingly. Tony Soprano is a legendary tv character as are many others on this show, there is hardly a single (even minor) character that isn’t excellent at the role they’re portraying. Season 3 is probably my favourite. This is outstanding television.

This show is in a word Beautiful. I feel honoured to of been able to have the experience of watching it. The study and depiction of the characters and personality of human beings is second to none.

Quite simply I loved it. Thoroughly thoroughly enjoyed this show. It delivers so many aspects without showing hardly any violence or gruesome detail, which is remarkable given the story of the show. Excellent acting. I just vision Tench and Holden out there. I am so sad I’ve finished the 2 seasons Detective Jim Barney who features a lot in the second season is as good as Tench and Holden. He so deserves a place on their team. I’m trying to find something similar but have failed so far. Criminal minds is so cheesy over-acted compared to this. I may have to rewatch season 2 it is that good.

I am hovering between 2 and 3 stars but decided to be generous and award 3 because that is the middle mark and average and if there is one thing about this programme it’s AVERAGE. Biggest issue no depth, no good character performances everything feels fake and flimsy. The so called crime boss dad, the mum, the siblings and the judge - it’s a no. I don’t actually think it’s the actors not delivering it was their parts. When watching I see the judge have moments and reactions like the actor did when he played Walt in breaking bad and I see the same with the woman lawyer with her part as was in True Detective season 3. Now mentioning True Detective that’s everything this show isn’t. This is one of those shows where after watching it I’ll think that’s x amount of hours of my life I won’t get back. Yes I could of switched off but you kind of had to see where it went and if it redeemed itself but it didn’t.

This film was really good. Not often a remake is good but this one really is. It’s highly watchable and can be enjoyed from younger child to adult. It’s not fair that this film has received so much negative press

My favourite tv show of all time. It took me months to be able to watch the final episode I felt like I wasn’t going to see family and friends again when this show finished. The characters and people studying is second to none. Totally exquisite and real. Yes I loved other shows thrones/better call Saul/breaking bad/sopranos etc but this show really has my heart. I think the actors and people that worked on the show are amazing for the effort they put into this.
