It is not horrible, but it is not great either. It is an entirely passable film. It's pretty well shot (not special or groundbreaking). The acting is a little more than good but nothing special in any way. That is good parts, now the bad: the story. It has been told before. It is a feminist film caked heavily with an agenda. I have no problems with films having a political statement but try to be clever about it. It was so obvious with every line said. I do appreciate ,though, that they didn't make every male character an antagonistic. The script is subpar, some lines legit make no sense (look a the trailer with that god awful change the world quote). Enola is cute and likable, a bit on the nose, but still likable. Her male friend is barely developed and so are her brothers. Ironically I found sherlock to be the most intriguing character, second her mother. All and all I give the film 5.7/10 or 2 out of 5 stars. Mainly this is because of a predictable story and subpar script.
