There are many ways a person could interpret this classic piece, but my personal thoughts are that this is a perfectly accurate representation of our current society's average citizen. Always seeking attention and going to unimaginable feats to gain attention, while in reality, they are simply an every day human being, nothing they do will have a lasting affect on anything after they are gone.
