A refreshing film indeed. Ek Ladki... definitely deserves a dekko, and with your entire family if you like. The film's music grows on you. It has the right mix of party numbers and lilting romantic songs. The song Chitthiye is a hidden gem - anybody with a sorrow in their heart will find their anguish finding expression through it. Something that we need so much when going through a hard patch.
Ek Ladki depicts bullying and discrimination in school, which definitely needs to be talked about and addressed today.
So brave that the film is doing it.
Juhi Chawla and Anil Kapoor's innocent romance is so kind on the eyes and ears.
The film (probably) purposely keeps Sonam-Regina romance depiction on the backburner, but their metro ride scene and brief scenes of their budding love are so relatable and enjoyable to witness (Delhi-wallahs will especially know!). Not a rankling minute in the film. Definitely a recommendable watch.
