I really loved the movie. It felt so magical with the soundtracks and the background music. It just took me to another level. I couldn't see any 'religious basis' in this movie as few mentioned to me. Even if there was a mention about religious mention, it wasn't even there for 5 minutes, which during the conversation between Sujata's father and the Ustad. Clearly this movie makes a huge statement that pure love is way beyond the religious and caste boundaries set by us humans.
The only reason why I gave it four stars was because it did disappoint me in a way. From the beginning, I thought the Jamun Fruit (Njavalppazham) had a great connection in the story. Later the fruit was shown a lot of times and was mentioned. A while the story was progressing, (spoiler alert) there was a word given by the Sufi that Sujata would speak on the day when that Jamun tree would bear fruit for the first time. And when it did, this prophecy wasn't fulfilled. That was a huge disappointment since it registered my heart and I was expecting till the end that she would atleast utter a single word.... I wonder if they forgot to do it in the end. Because it would have been so mystical and thrilling to see it come true.
Apart from that, I loved the movie a lot!!
