Not good, could have been. Ridiculous decisions made by the main characters, to keep the plot moving in a predictable direction. One example; why would a detective meet with a man that he suspects is a serial killer and proceed to tell that man that he knows about his pattern of killing. Also, of course, the detective tells no coworkers about his research or his discovery. There are other examples, no need to list them all. Lazy writing hurt a movie that had potential to be very good.
