The Stath delivers in the way he knows best: non-stop action covers up the plot holes but this is great fun, like Bourne with a proper grudge and no qualms. +, Bees, who knew

A superb film, with a tour-de-forde performance from Laure Calamy. Every scene brings another crisis to be addressed and resolved but where its all leading to is kept back until the very end when several resolutions are hinted at. The soundtrack is fantastic and boosts the tension dramatically. And all in 90 mins: well worth seeking out

Watchable and lightly engaging but pretty slight and cartoon-esque. The characters are characters for the most part and the negotiations a bit fuzzy. Good for an evev8but not to return to

Plenty of action but a lot of that and the plot are unashamedly lifted from other action film, particularly Bond. That said, its a film done with elan and some panache and highly enjoyable way to pass a few hours

I thought this was terrific, though the two stories don't quite meld. Great acting, writing and direction and the usual beautiful look, texture, colour and sound we expect from Almodovar. Penelope Cruz's performance was intimate, troubled and agonising and captivating so watch as the idea then the truth of her position unfolded. There is much beauty in this film and much to enjoy.

This is gripping, mesmerising and if life in a restaurant is even a fraction what is shown here then, hells, bells, I'm glad I don't do that. Superb acting, superb script, superb camerawork, it's a masterclass in everything that's great in movies and movie-making

Not unpredictable but an effective story, well-played by an excellent ensemble cast directed with suave confidence by Soderbergh, using his various and favoured effects, lighting, time-jumps and those lingering, pensive shots with dialogue overlaid from elsewhere. Add in a terrific, muted score + choice tracks and this is tight, enjoyable film worth watching more than once

A cool burn of a movie with crisp, enigmatic performances folding out intrigue and double deals against a backdrop beautifully filmed. Clooney was made for a script like this and carries the film without fault to the last shot

An elegant, purposeful portrayal of love, companionship and support sought and needed, offered and received. The direction is masterful, the acting perfect and a last scene that lingers long afterwards
