My grandmother watch this serial daily so i happen to know it's story. And believe me it's utter nonsense. I don't know what point they are trying to make in this serial. Aditya Tripathi, who is a journalist, was forced to marry a village girl, Imlie at gun point by the villagers because of some silly reason. Even though he was already married to Imlie, he decided to marry his love, Malini, an independent girl,.without telling her about his first marriage and took Imlie with him to the city so she could follow her dreams. She stayed in Tripathis house as maid but is loved like a family member by the family. And now, after continuously refusing to accept his forced marriage with Imlie for a long time, he has now fallen for her and believes that what he had with Malini was friendship and not Love... Like what the hell?... What are you trying to show ? That it is okay to marry two girls and change your preferences as and when you feel like? Malini's father is also the father of Imlie as he went to pagdandiya (Imlie's village) once and made relations with her mother and came to know that Imlie is his daughter while she was a maid in Malini's Sasural. Now both Aditya and his father in law are portrayed in the show as the best persons alive on the planet despite the fact that they are the only ones who are cheating on their partners. Irony? While Malini's mother is portrayed as an evil woman because she keeps doubting Aditya of not being honest with Malini and doesn't like Imlie (maid) being given greater/equal importance in family as Malini and also often doubts her husband also.. Which is also an irony because she is right.. But just because women are supposed to be dharam patni and not questioning their pati parmeshwar, she is a bad woman
