Steve and his crew produce a true outdoor show grounded in the traditions my father taught me and his father taught him. We get tired of the production taking priority over the true outdoor experience and Steve and his crew do it right... Every week. It has to be a dream job to do what they do but I can tell you it’s not all it’s cracked up to be.
I’m friends with the hunter in season 7 episode 3-4 and I can tell you it’s work. I just came in from setting in a tree stand in Michigan, it was 65 degrees and partly sunny when I sat down, when I left 3 hrs later it had rained buckets, dropped in temp by 25 degrees and the wind picked up to 35 mph. Soaked, freezing and hungry I got down, swapped out some SD cards in 2 cameras before heading to the truck. I lost 1 of the SD cards in a 12” mud puddle under my truck leaning over to get the keys from under my seat. On the way home, my sons septic backed up and a roof leak started. Steve and his crew deal with the same family and personal problems we do and still manage to put in the time and keep it real. They deserve every bit of success they get. It’s not easy being good. It’s hard work doing what yah love and staying with it. Great job guys, punch Janis in the dick for me. Lol. Love to take you guys on a manistee (tippy dam ) salmon fishing weekend. It’s as fun to watch as it is to fish. Steve knows what I’m taking about.
