I had to read this book for my Victimology class and while usually books of this content and magnitude can be really intense and hard to read, I enjoyed her story. It felt so personal and allowed the reader to go through the times with her and through the dark and gritty to the lighter memories, Sharp was able to keep it real and in turn her honesty is what made this book so good. She didn't shy away from the harshness of her situation. I would recommend this book.
