Perplexed by the 5 star reviews. I expected some parallels with the original, I didn’t expect them to basically re-use the plot with some minimal amendments. Bizarrely, the original also looked more realistic- the overuse of thunderbird esk CGI in Twisters, especially in today’s modern age, is crippling. That being said, it is watchable trash- maybe a good one if you’re hung over on a Sunday and don’t care if you fall asleep on the couch and miss half of it. Glen Powell’s a decent actor, with great screen presence- he needs to choose his films more carefully after this, and the dire ‘Hitman’, or risks floundering his career.
