Scarlett Hammond

This show had the potential to be great but I am very disappointed. First of all the representation is poor. Ok it’s better than the original but not good enough for 2021. We get two light skin girls and everyone is praising them for inclusivity? I have to disagree. All the male characters besides Aki basically look identical. Monet the only darker complexion character in the show is unlikeable and barely gets any screen time. The plot is cringe and all the problems are solved too easily and quickly, almost like a new issue is brought up and resolved in each episode. HBO normally nails drama so I’m confused why the writing is so basic. It feels like cheesy ABC family writing from the 2000’s and overall I’m just not here for It.
