The 2nd season totally redeemed the show. Loved it.

This feels like a script written in a single night by a freshman film student fueled by 200mgs of adderall. The only reason I’m not giving this one star is because I’ve been laughing at how bad this movie was for the past 30 minutes. So anything that can make me laugh is worthy of at least 2 stars, right?

An intensely suspenseful movie that left my nerves frayed for a couple hours after finishing it. If your idea of a scary movie only involves gory messes, cheap jump scenes, and dumb sexually charged teenagers, then this isn't the movie for you. If you enjoy great acting, an original story, great cinematography, and being on the edge of your seat while wondering what is real and what isn't, then you should absolutely check this out. If you liked "The Witch" then you will definitely enjoy this one. The bleak feel to the movie (and the setting) only adds to the tension that doesn't stop building until the very end. That being said, the ending left something to be desired, but it was still a satisfying ending to a rock solid movie. Also, don't listen to most of the negative reviews on here. I see a lot of people saying that they had a hard time following the flashes between past and present. If your IQ is above room temperature, you can easily follow this story line. FFS, I even see people upset about how a bucket and the carpets don't fit the era, talk about nitpicking... sheesh

Love horror movies and I'm a fan of war movies, seemed like a match made in heaven for this one. Started off as an amazing combination of the two genres with some good acting. I was really enjoying it, I even leaned over to my GF mid-movie and told her how much I liked the film. Well, I must have jinxed it. Not five minutes later I got slapped in the face by one of the dumbest plot twists I've ever seen. Like one of the stupidest, most unnecessary twists imaginable, which completely upended and destroyed the flow of the film. After this horrendous twist, another plot line is ham-handedly stuffed into the end of the movie. I finished the movie and just stared blankly at the credits, struggling to understand why somebody would ruin this movie with some moronic sci-fi trope. I want to give this 1 star, but the first 2/3rds of the movie were actually pretty great. So, it's kinda worth watching, I guess... Just don't get your hopes up on being satisfied with the third act.
