Derek Wayne

This is one of the better western shows I have come across! While Jeff Daniels drew me to the show and played a very good villain it’s the remaining cast that blew me away. I don’t know how they came across Scoot McNairy but he was born for this role! Just an outstanding performance and Thomas Brodie-Sangster was a perfect fit as well. He reminded of Leonardo DiCaprio in the Quick and the Dead but in a different role. Then you had Michelle Dockery in a polar opposite of what we’re used to from her but she played it masterfully. I am not a film review writer so all I can say is I was glued to the screen all the way through this one! My only regret is that it took me nearly 7 years to give it a shot, the name of the show turned me of since I am a God fearing man but I’m glad I finally looked past that.

I’m not going to go on and on writing a bunch of gibberish trying to make myself sound like a world renowned film critic. I enjoy fantasy type movies and Damsel did not disappoint! I fell in love with Millie Bobby Brown in stranger things and she was spectacular again in this! 4 stars all day long for this movie lover.

I wasn’t born until ‘74 but my father was in the USMC in Vietnam and claims no movie does better than depicting how it was during the fighting in Vietnam. The only other that comes close he says is The Green Berets with John Wayne but he’s a huge fan of the big guy so he may be biased. Regardless, from my perspective this is some of Mel Gibson’s best work.

This movie would have done much better had it not been released the same year as Full Metal Jacket and Born on 4th of July. That being said it’s a must watch for anyone interested in the Vietnam War.

There are no words I can put together that will tell just how good this was. Normally during any movie I will pause it once or twice to go to the bathroom, get a snack or a smoke however from the moment I pressed play I didn’t move until it was over. In fact I sat and starred at a blank screen for a good 15 minutes afterwards just processing what I just watched. An absolutely captivating masterpiece that immediately goes into the top 20 films I’ve ever watched.

I kept passing on this thinking it’s another one of “those”! Wow, was I wrong. Warrior is utterly fantastic, Nothing else I can say but two thumps up for this one!

This sub par show attempts to intertwine a grove of secrets and deceptions into a big picture of free falling connections. The result is a not so artful collage of contradicting motivations. Credit must be given to the Guyanese actors as they are spectacular and are the only reason to watch. In general all the acting was good less that of the usually great Claire Danes, whether it’s here acting or the role, her character more than misses the mark in this one. Worth a watch if your desperate but not worth a rewatch.

The most gripping movie of the year. It’s one of those movies I put off watching and when I did I said I should have watched that long ago.

Simply one of the best pieces of work I’ve ever watched.

The first season it’s absolutely riveting, psychological thriller at its finest. I couldn’t put it down, binge watched the entire season in 3 nights. I would consider it a must watch. Season 2 is entirely different, terrible storyline with terrible acting. I wouldn’t even waste your time on season 2.
