It's a slow film with tired plot lines and the usual sarcasm from the bit actors. Also the cast was so ridiculously diverse it was like watching 2 hours of Benneton ads.

Tennis films don't work and neither does this. The real life story is nothing inspiring when a woman player in the peak of her powers beats a male player long retired. Also the actress was too pretty to play Billy Jean King. It's dull and you already know the end anyway.

Excellent put down of all the insanities in our society but great timing to go with it. His bit about nothing being considered "mental" these days hit the nail on the head. Gervais dares to go places lesser comedians only dream of going to.

Formulaic, a little bit silly and too violent for small children. The ending was obvious about an hour off from the film's end. Also the lead villain (Jim Carey) is nothing like the fat sprite in the video game. Sonic has also developed warp speed and super powers which he doesn't have in the game. His relative lack of power in the vids is what made him a charming character. Now he is like a marvel super hero. It's a duff film. I guess most of the people giving 5 stars must have been paid to do so.
