I love this show so far. Watched the first four episodes on Hulu and I love where it's going. I've also been a fan of Mayim Bialik since Blossom, but never really got into TBBT or even heard of the British version, Miranda. I have to say, that this show seems both revolutionary and throwback-y. Throwback-y because of the laugh track and some of the corny jokes, but revolutionary because the main character is happily single, a little chubby, talks openly about social anxiety and depression, and is not conventionally attractive (for Hollywood). Kat's absurd/silly energy (such as her internal dialogue, corny jokes and tendency to do things like sing to cats) reminds me SO MUCH of myself and single women friends of mine. My wife and I both like it - I think there's a lot that both "quirky" cis het women or queer women can find to relate to in this show. Also, this show is just NICE. The characters are generally sweet and good natured in a way that is unusual in tv sitcoms nowadays. It made me feel SEEN in a way I don't think a network sitcom ever has. I really hope it lasts.
