An excellent limited series. Dark violent, and completely believable. A superb ensemble, stark cinematography, and a beautiful, ironic score.

Very disappointing. I expected the the first season to be and adaptation of PD James's novel "Shroud of Innocence." Instead, the first three episodes of the season presented what appeared to be a very truncated of the novel, which barely developed the story, left many story-lines started but undeveloped, and ended abruptly and ambiguously. I do not plan to watch the rest of the first season

Spouse and I really enjoyed this series. Characters are sharply drawn and distinct from each other, the plot had some very clever twists, there was a good amount of humor in the series, and the individual characters' stories ended very smartly.

An all-star - and very appealing - cast. Extremely violent. Intermittently funny. Underwritten.

Surprisingly moving. Very generous to the people depicted in the story.

Very violent and very dystopian. The addition of Nick Frost artfully complicates the show's tone.

Very mixed feelings. OTOH, I liked the thought-provoking premise, with early episodes engaging me in the passengers' and their families' and friends' complicated emotional struggles with the real-world consequences of their disappearing and returning. OTOH, I find the later tight focus on the "lifeboat" hypothesis and Ben's determination to save Cal at almost any cost less appealing. And the science vs. faith conflict seems overly simplified That said, I can see that one purpose of the later plotting and writing might have been to make Ben less heroic and more obsessively hysterical. I will watch Season 4 to see where this goes.
