I am a huge fan or the horror genre, but I don't remember ever seeing a more boring horror movie, and I've seen some real losers in my life. Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things, Frogs, or The Thing With Two Heads - more entertaining than this waste of time.

If I had to bang Harvey Weinstein, I would have hoped to get a better role in a better movie... a basement with a basement... nuff said...

Someone had a camera and another had a microphone. Actors ad-libbed and The Brawler was made. The problem with The Brawler and Chuck is that fiction played better than real life. Both movies were like watching Ali fight Michael Dunn or Cleveland Williams. The outcome was cemented before you settled in your seat and took your first bite of popcorn. It's tough to out-Rocky Rocky even if you have the real Rocky. Schreiber is a very good actor who makes due with a very weak script. McGowan is one if those actors who is better than his resume. One day, he'll land something that will really pack a punch. (Yes, I had to drop a cliche.)
