I’m not sure why this movie isn’t more popular. I thought it was a movie about discovery but it is about first contact. As a Trekkie, I have to wonder if the ‘aliens’ are Vulcan. I think it would have been cool if Mike was Mikayla, and then you could really drive home the whole, ‘you’ve proven yourself to be part of our club’ premise. I will definitely watch it again with closed caption so I can really get all the conversations.

This show is better than expected. My expectations ran high. I’m looking forward to all the twists and turns still to come.

Well...just left the movie 25 minutes into it. I don’t recall the last time this happened to me. If I was with my 4, 2, and 2 year old grandchildren, I would have stayed and enjoyed it from their perspective. As an adult expecting a real movie, this was disappointing. Fake fake fake. I don’t recommend for adults only. One of my favorite books, too. Bummer.
