One of my favorite Denzel Washington movies. I liked the Island dynamic. I loved seeing Denzel play the piano and sing too.

I loved The Little Mermaid. Halle Bailey did an excellent job. Disney worked their magic as usual Not just me who enjoyed it too. I saw it at a packed matinee in Jersey City and the audience clapped at the end. I’m happy to see that Disney simply chose the best actress for the job period.

I don’t know what naughty monkey was watching but it definitely wasn’t the Chi. Yes some characters do have nice homes and manicured lawns. Much like the homes of some of my family members who live on the south side of Chicago. But the Chi goes further to not only show the gang violence, the homelessness and helplessness that besieges many of our people in the inner cities. What I love about the Chi is that it shows a real picture of Black people. We love, we work hard, we are ambitious just like everyone else; and yes we have real problems. It is unrealistic to think that the story tellers would only show the grittiness and hopelessness of this city without showing the triumphs as well as the trials. Bravo!

Loved this movie. Bradley Cooper did an exceptional job performing and directing. Lady Gaga was phenomenal. I really enjoyed. Watched 2 nights in a row.
