Bored. Parts were funny, but was not as clever as the first Zombieland.

I try to watch all movies with no expectations and not every superhero movie based on Marvel characters can be Black Panther, but Dark Phoenix was not bad for a superhero movie. It was basically about an extremely powerful mutant who had anger, abandonment, mistrust, and daddy issues. She realizes who her real family is and discovers her true potential. It does follow the typical superhero movie blueprint where they fight a bunch of almost equally powerful being hellbent on destroying mankind or the world. A cheesy line must be said at the most climatic part of a superhero movie, and Dark Phoenix made no exception. Overall, I thought it was good, for what it was.

While watching Spencer Confidential, it seemed like the same one who wrote the screenplay for the recent Shaft movie also wrote the screenplay for this one, and that ain’t a compliment. The storyline is reminiscent of the blueprint used for thousands of cop shows and made for TV cop movies. The actors did fine, but overall the movie was predictable and left a lot for the imagination to be desired.

I would categorize this movie as suspense or thriller with horror elements. However, like most horror movies, it was predictable and unrealistic. If they can take a sad and serious subject like bullying & rejection and profit from it by turning it into a cheesy horror/suspense movie, then they can add more humor to make it more enjoyable.

I try to watch all movies with absolutely no expectations. Despite the incredible actors in Knock Knock, it was a horrible movie, which makes it hilarious, so I thoroughly enjoyed it! It was so bad, it was funny as hell! LOVE the guy from Oakland.
