I feel somewhat irritated with the series. I've been advertised it and heard how good it is from other people, but I found it somewhat disappointing. There is a lot of things being thrown that the audience at the very beginning of which I had to watch the first episode in a few different chunks just to get my head around characters, places, events and intents of some of the main characters.
I'm yet to watch the last two episodes, but as it stands I don't understand the dynamic between Geralt and Yennefer at all. It seems like a lot of the information in the series is inferred for the readers of the series (of which I haven't read, but do intend to).
The timeline skipping is a fresh idea, but the way it's portrayed is much too confusing to hold much interest. The only reason I've watched as much as I have (and the reason I intend to finish the series) is because the world that they've failed to create, still seems to interesting and fascinating to me. I'm definitely going to read the books in hopes that I might be able to actually find myself caring somewhat for the characters and understanding them much better.
