criminally underrated disney channel original movie!! the writing is pretty bad which actually makes it more fun to watch tbh but the songs are incredible!!! i love the cliche plot and the weird cinematography choices, the only thing im hung up on is the way the characters flip flop in their feelings for each other for seemingly no reason and the way her parents literally don’t care about her sinking her grandmas car in quicksand and also the fact that she was just m.i.a. for most of the day and no one in her family noticed. but overall a good story, good music, and even kind of a good message

i love this movie. love black and white, love great gerwig, love modern love, love how the cinematography and focus on characters in the shot shows their relationships and doesn’t really shy away from being obvious about it. noah baumbach and greta gerwig really knocked this one out of the park and created a cast of real, relatable characters. simply one of those movies that makes you feel things, but mostly happiness. no spoilers but the ending was just..... *chef’s kiss* perfect
