Candyman was…. Well I don’t quite know what to say about that movie… The first time a “horror” movie has left me speechless and not from a fear factor, rather, the agenda/motives hinted throughout the movie, then blatantly exposed in The last sentence spoken. All the adrenaline build up flatlined at the realization that the movie was what it was. It is no longer purposed as a visceral horror but towards a psychological one. Adding fuel to an already uncontrolled flame, creating more division in an already chaotic world, and promoting more violence on the aspect of “eye for an eye.”
