Sometimes, a film moves you in such a way that it compels you to write a review. Unfortunately, 'Old' compelled me but not in a good way.
M. Night Shyamalan is funny. Sometimes he hits and sometimes he misses. This honestly felt like he developed the twist in bis head and then left everything else as an afterthought.
The script itself is too convenient, and far too often do you find yourself in a position where the characters are just explaining plot points as if they themselves wrote it.
Sure, theres some nice points to be made about the inevitability of old age and death. But its kind of hard to appreciate these points when every other aspect of the film is trying its best to make you hate it.
Wait till its out for streaming so you can laugh about it on your couch.
