Ok so I've read the books and I love them. Unfortunaly I did not like this movie. Even though it is quite faithful to the book, there are some major differences during the last hour, which I wouldn't really mind if these changes made sense to me. Also I found that the movie lacked in a lot of things as well such as information and explanation to what is happening and why. The main issue to me was the casting. I did not like it at all. I was pretty happy with Luke and a little bit with, Clary, Simon and Magnus, but all the others were a huge disappointment. Now about the Tv show. Even though it is quite different from the book, I liked it. I liked some of changes and I was left quite happy with the cast selection.
