Frozen 2 was an astonishingly different princess film. While it still had a range of emotional songs and a cast of charming characters, the over all message in the film holds less ground than its predecessor. The film seems to assure the audience that asking asking for help and trusting your loved ones is always the right thing to do but the story goes on to show that things change and sometimes you have to do things on your own and be brave enough to pick yourself up when your in bad shape. It sends a confusing message about change as well, flopping back and forth from how somethings never change to how change can be scary and hard. In the end it springs to say that change isnt always bad but never really represents the lesson learned. Lastly I want to mention that over all the movie's plot was well intended and heartwarming but the movie lacked true conflicts and only seemed to be playing off of what made the first movie so popular. It made a step in the right direction but brought nothing new to the table. 4/5
