Best thing I can say about Lost in Space on Netflix is that the visuals and special effects are impressive, movie-worthy even, but other than that, the show is simply not worth watching. I do believe the actors did a great job with what they were given, you can tell many of them are seasoned and believable but the writing left so much to be desired. I watched all 10 episodes because I wanted to see how the writers completed the season, but the writing is truly the worst part. The plot is so so weak, the villian "Dr. Smith" is completely one dimensional and her motives are usually unknown. Every episode lacks real excitement or action. Also somehow Dr. Smith is constantly the focus when she is the most irritating villian. There's a lot of usual tropes to a teen drama or even a romance movie. It's all too predictable and not on par with some of the impeccable sci-fi shows out there these days. My recommendation, skip this series.
