This show had so much potential and didn't live up to it. The character Yasuke was overshadowed by super powers and machines that had nothing to do with the history on which the character is based on . The story did nothing to explain how technology was that advanced or even explained how mutants existed. All the characters in the main storyline were uninteresting. The last act of the show was a snoozer, it was so boring it failed to leave a memorable impact. I was unable to empathize with the little girl as the show downplayed tragic events and the characters moved on so quickly. The voice acting was poor especially from the main character. Some scenes could have been way better if the voice actors showed more emotion. The final negatives were the inconsistent graphics, lack luster sword fights and bad music choices which could have been overlooked if the story was good. The good parts of the show were the few flash backs that showed us his struggle of being an outsider to the culture as well as his struggle dealing with choice between love and honor . If they focused on the actual story of the character and how he became to be the legend instead of a pointless story that took place after, this show would have been amazing. My favourite thing however was the title sequence as it was visually satisfying and the soundtrack here was perfect. Hope this helps you to decide whether you want to watch it or not .
