Anyone here to defend the pirates? Come on! Most good in the world do no harm, point a weapon or want to steal just because 'they had a bad life'. It is circumstantial, it is not for a mearsk ship to feel sorry for the pirates and think "aww I suppose we should help them out, well, if I get shot helping them, well, they had a hard life" No, that's not how it works. So, no, no empathy for the other side, they were bad, evil and that isnt right. So... Let me just add for you who wonder why this movie is 'anti pirate' and that pirate (though fun to dress up as at parties, are actually, really awful people) noun a person who attacks and robs ships at sea.
