I finished 1700+ chapters of the Chinese novel more than a year ago after watching the Anime. After knowing that Yang Yang was going to take on the role of Ye Xiu, I was over the moon as I am a great fan of Yang Yang. But the production took a long time to air which I suspected was due to the eSports animation. I was very impressed with the animation, it exceeded my expectations. Though I watched Season 1 is the Animation at least 5 times, I think the animation and CG of this drama is very very cool and in fact I felt it is much better than the animation. Bonus of many very good looking Chinese Actors and Actresses. Even the soundtrack is worth listening to. Although there’s no romance for this drama since the author did not want to incorporate into the original novel, I still think this is my favourite drama for 2019. Highly recommended for a strong storyline and impressive production. 10/10!

One of the worst Chinese drama I’ve watched. Third rate acting by the actors and the drama would be better to have voice actors. Totally cannot feel the romance and feel very annoyed with the hairstyle of the male lead, Mo Lian Cheng and the childishness and accent of the Chinese lead. Not worth your time watching. I will strongly recommend this Chinese drama “Eternal Love” instead, Also known as “Ten Miles of Peach Blossom”. It’s 10/10 in my opinion and rewatch value is 100%.

The most heart wrenching part was what followed after the death of Phoenix's right-wing man, Liao. I can feel his deep sense of loss and just when he was about to take revenge for his trusted aide to kill Night Immortal, he was betrayed and back stabbed by the person he loved more than his own life. My heart was utterly shattered. Overall I loved this drama so much despite its flaws that I can rewatch several times over again. At the end of the day, i feel that all the trouble started with Jinmi and her triangle love affair resulting in the war between heaven and demon realms, and deaths of her father, stepmother and the heavenly emperor. If only she had told her daddy to call off the wedding arrangement with night immortal in the beginning and will that she shall make the decision to marry the person she decides and loves at a later date, life would have been more manageable. Deng Lun’s acting was stunning. His role as Fire Immortal, King Yi and Black Phoenix were so charismatic and make these characters so endearing. Why didn’t they put him as the main cast in Princess Agents??? The OST, CGI, props, costumes and action were superb and wow! At least 3 very handsome guys in the drama. I enjoyed Deng Lun's articulation and interpretation of the scripts in Mandarin most of all, very gentle, romantic, yet at times arrogant. ;)

I watched this as I became an instant fan of Deng Lun after watching Ashes of Love. His acting in Sweet Dreams didn’t disappoint either. However between Ashes of Love and Sweet Dreams, both 2018 dramas, I prefer the Ashes of Love. The setting of Sweet Dreams in the floriculture industry is refreshing, however the story plots of the drama are a bit disappointing. The last one being the accident in the last episode which would have sounded more convincing if the baddie was caught red-handed trying to murder someone else instead of ramming BoHai down on the street while on the run. With such impact of the accident, Bo Hai most probably would have died or taken a much longer time to recover. Anyway, what are the odds of baddie-on-the-run finding out the exact location of BoHai and getting the perfect opportunity to ram him down? Overall, I enjoyed the love chemistry between the lead characters. However the voice cover for QiQi annoys me a great deal especially when she is fangirling Bo Hai. My goosebumps just appears uncontrollably. Yikes! I’ll give this drama a 7/10.
