One of the great WWII films. Loaded with atmosphere and foreboding. Cagney, tough as nails , and fearless carries the film. Conte , although a good actor, was miscast. Not believable as a Nazi. Sam Jaffe was well cast as the mayor and resistance leader.
Most memorable line, Cagney to Jaffe , " Take me to Duclois"(sic) pronounced Du-Qwah
